• Responsible for providing leadership and direction to 230 staff, with direct line management responsibility for 5 Area Managers including: performance management; biannual appraisals; career development; and target.
• Predominantly a strategic role, directing 3 to 5-year service and maintenance operations including: Engineer recruitment strategy; new contract operational plans; equipment and vessel requirements; and budget.
• Regularly engaged in a pre-sales capacity to formulate service and maintenance packages (pricing and service levels), with a track record of delivering longer term contracts and lucrative contract extensions.
• As a key member of the Senior Management Team, responsible for engaging with clients to resolve service issues, extend contracts and negotiate new packages.

• Ensured plant availability and maximised production yield in megawatts, minimising service and maintenance costs.
• Led contract negotiations with service providers, establishing SLAs, maintenance programmes and delivering ‘maximum asset lifetime’ programmes.
• Led high level negotiations with clients, landowners, local authorities and regional utility operators over issues such as service access and turbine planning applications.
• Regularly required to provide technical expertise to the Internal Development Team when assessing new turbine project viability.
