Responsible for advancing all of the events in the venue, management of the technical team, health and safety and all other aspects of the venue. Also Opera Norths “Sustainability champion,” which involves chairing the company’s executive led green team and leading on the sustainability objectives of the company

Assisting students with their live performances, as well as teaching students how to operate sound, lighting and AV

Assisting touring theatre companies to install their sound and lighting equipment on large scale touring shows, such as We Will Rock You, South Pacific and Phantom of the Opera during get in, and assisting with the de-rig during the get out.As part of this role, I have also operated FOH follow spot and also truss spot.

Responsible for operating sound and video for touring opera shows

Involved in all technical aspects of the venue, including operating sound for a multitude of different shows, and also rigging, focusing, plotting and operating lights for theatre, dance and opera shows.In those role it was also my duty to deputise in case of absence of the Senior Technician, and also to assist with the training of the Technical Apprentice.

Casual technician, mainly working on the conference side of the venue, rigging and operating PA systems, lighting and AV for conferences. However, have worked on bigger shows such as the 2008 BBC Sports personality of the year awards as rigging/derig crew.
