I am a recent graduate of Johnson & Wales University. In 2016, I received my Associates Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. In 2018, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Food Service Management making the Dean's List with a GPA of 3.52 out of 4.0. I have always admired the artistry that can be exhibited through cakes and pastries. I enjoy the thrill of taking raw ingredients and turning them into something that not only looks good, but tastes good as well. That is the magic of a talented baker or pastry chef. Aside from assisting in the kitchen at a day camp, my internship consisted of working at a bakery. There, I was involved in baking pastries, decorating them and selling them to the customers. While there, I was able to apply techniques I learned in school, as well as learning new skills associated with making specialty cakes and pastries because these items were made allergen-free. Working there made me more aware of how things can be done and how to work around the differences of unusual ingredients. My goal is to eventually have my own specialty bake shop, creating tasty works of art. Until then, I want to work somewhere that I can contribute my talents, hone my skills and learn from those around me to increase my knowledge and talent
