Ensures all TTC technical, operating, and safety requirements related to Transit Control Operations are addressed and met, to ensure operational readiness as each transit expansion project within the Transit Expansion Program come on line.

Taking command and control of all major emergency situations by planning and coordinating all on-site activities and logistics; conferring with personnel from external emergency response agencies and expediting the appropriate actions necessary to adjust, divert and restore subway transit services.Ensuring Subway services are operating efficiently, safely and according to procedures; including supervising uniformed Transportation Supervisors, and informing Transit Control, investigating situations that may impact subway services; Supervising activities and delegating the appropriate action through attending Uniformed Transportation Supervisors in the event of minor incidents. Recommending and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and strategies; and coordinating new projects and special events. Treating passengers and employees with respect and dignity, and ensuring the needs of those with disabilities are accommodated and/or addressed in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code and related orders so they can fully benefit from the TTC as a service -provider and employer.
