With over twenty years of experience in the environmental field as a soil scientist and sewage facilities planning specialist, I am responsible for performing a wide variety of duties and projects associated with land development and construction by determining compliance with government regulations and policies, processing applications for various approvals, coordinating and overseeing projects, and managing staff, schedules, and budgets. • Perform project management duties including determination of soil test protocol, scheduling, and coordination with land owners, developers, site engineers, municipal engineers, and reviewing agencies• Interpretation of soil test results for various subdivision and land development requirements including but not limited to suitability for land-based sewage disposal, soil mapping and classification, prime farmland/farmland of statewide importance, stormwater infiltration feasibility, hydric soils, alluvial soils, and construction feasibility/geotechnical evaluations• Compose reports for subdivision and land development submissions related to soil testing and interpretations including but not limited to soil mapping/delineation reports, environmental impacts assessments, geotechnical evaluations, and sewage disposal and stormwater infiltration feasibility reports• Prepare Sewage Facilities Planning Module submissions for land development specializing in large volume soil based sewage disposal systems • Track applications through all applicable regulatory reviews and prepare responses to reviewing agency and public comments• Represent clients to municipal and regulatory reviewing agencies• Perform field and laboratory soil analyses for sewage disposal and construction feasibility, soil classification and mapping, and construction inspections including stormwater BMP construction, footing sub-base, compaction testing, and proof-roll inspections• Supervise sewage planning and field staff• Coordinate inspection requirements and staff schedules• Prepare work scopes and cost estimates and oversight of project budgets and invoicing

• Performed all phases of site investigation for septic systems including test pit descriptions and site suitability analysis• Reviewed land planning/subdivision submissions• Inspected water wells, treatment units, and septic system installations to ensure compliance• Investigated and resolved complaints involving potentially failing sewage disposal systems

• Conducted field investigations for on-site septic systems, system stakeouts, and percolation tests• Interpretation of soil test results for compliance with Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and local requirements for on-lot septic systems• Complete designs for on-lot septic systems using CAD software (Terra Model) and prepare septic system permit applications• Conduct geotechnical site inspections including soil compaction testing using a Troxler soil moisture/density gauge and footing sub-base inspections• Conduct soil laboratory analysis including proctor, moisture content, gradation, particle size, saturated hydraulic conductivity, and Atterberg limits analyses
