I have over 30 years of experience working as a senior accounting professional. In addition to this industry experience, I have a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Business Law, and a Master's Degree in Taxation with Distinction from Curtin Law School. I am currently studying for a PhD in Tax Law at the Griffith Law School.I am a fellow of CPA Australia and of the Tax Institute of Australia. I have worked as a Tax Agent for various accounting practices (including my own) in Western Australia and in Queensland. I have accounting and management experience working in and consulting with Public Benevolent Institutions (Charities) and Not-for-Profit Organisations and as a board member.I was employed as a sessional tutor and lecturer at the University of the Sunshine Coast for five and a half years, assisting in the delivery of eleven courses to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. I taught nine courses, of which I lectured four, prepared assessments, exams and marking guides and marked another two courses. The courses included various accounting, auditing, tax law and corporate finance.Currently I am employed as a tax consultant and business advisor for clients in various industries. My work includes assisting Public Benevolent Institutions and other Not-For-Profit Organisations. I am also the practice in-house trainer and mentor of the accountants, bookkeepers and corporate administration staff.
