Lead Project Manager for the Northern converter site, part of the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) mega project, one of the biggest transmission projects undertaken on the UK network in its history.

Selected by the new board to lead a finite project to transform the company from a FTSE 250 multi-jurisdictional exploration company with green energy and operated production ambitions to a smaller cap Egypt only focused entity with a limited supporting office in Scotland. The project included a material reduction in UK based roles, growth of the Egypt organisation, a substantial reduction in G&A expenditure and the disposal, transfer or divestment of a number of international assets and organisational entities. • Provided pragmatic and unbiased challenge to new organisation decisions on organisational design, strategy, culture cultivation and worked closely with the CEO on implementing final strategy with a strong focus on people remaining highly cognisant of the effect the reorganisation had on staff. • Created a governance framework to ensure the transformation process was carried out in a controlled manner. • Identified, quantified and rationalised G&A savings and cost exposures across the business to enable the new strategy and work with the business to reduce contracts and services no longer required. • Managed the divestment, sale and relinquishment of non-core assets in multiple jurisdictions such as Mexico, Suriname, Mauritania and the UK.• Oversaw the transformations of systems, processes and procedures to ensure they were fit for purpose to the continuing entity. • Designed and implemented a new Management system, including the relevant Policies, Procedures, Processes, Standards and Guidance (PPPSG) capable of delivering the new strategy. • Engaged with internal and external stakeholders extensively to communicate the transformation process and the implications. • Controlled the handover of, or reduction in, roles and responsibilities across all departments to deliver the UK and Egypt based role reduction initiative.

Part of the project management team supporting the Exxon Mobil WQ1 drilling project in Southern Iraq which is currently producing 450,000 barrels per day of crude. I am responsible for the formulation and implementation of a new security and HSE training and record system for the project due to a large upscale in personnel.Through diligent leadership and sound policy development and implementation knowledge I successfully executed, assessed and managed the framework including the training delivery, assessment and mentoring of more than 310 multi-national employees ensuring that project deliverables were met and client expectations were exceeded. This included the formulation of performance criteria, competency levels and knowledge requirements for a number of roles and responsibilities across the organization.Contributed to the strategic redevelopment of the training resources and successfully developed products within required timelines and above the expected standard.Assessed project HSSE data and investigations to identify trends, suggested interventions & provided direction including the completion of P10 incident forms and lessons learned dissemination.

Managed all aspects of the security and movement of clients for a major drilling rig in the South Rumalia Oilfield including all physical security placement and implementation on rig move and the control and briefing of personnel entering the site.Conducted rig site safety and security inspections with rig management teams and QHSE representatives in order to be compliant with the BP and ROO Rumalia OMS standards including well control scenarios and emergency procedures. Coordinated and lead training with local emergency responders and allocated safe areas and fall back musters for rig catastrophic events, including blow outs and unstable structures. Attended and contributed to local community council meetings coordinating with local police and armed forces commanders as well as religious community leaders to ensure project integrity and social responsibility factors were considered and implemented by the client.Managed a team of Iraqi local national employees and ensured progress in skills such as HSE awareness, STOP card enforcement, drilling processes and on the job training. Coordinated with the rig management team an all aspects of safety from H2S and well control drills to stop card training and general HSSE coaching of the Iraqi and expat workforce incorporating fact based scenario and workshop training which included lessons learned reflection sessions which was detailed in meeting minutes and disseminated to all rig site employees.

Planned, coordinated and delivered security apprenticeship courses autonomously Europe wide, successfully maintaining a 100% pass rate. Conducted thorough security and HSE risk assessments on numerous sites and presented findings to board level including priority changes required and key vulnerabilities using risk rating matrixes and solid risk control methodologies. Liaised directly with client to identify training, HSE and security requirements and formulated bespoke packages tailored to the needs and budget of the organisation and the site. Delivered security specific training to professional security officers in incident control, patrolling and searching techniques, customer service and crisis management including the mandatory SIA units (WPSI, WSO and conflict management).
