After finishing my apprenticeship I was offered a role at Citi in one of the teams I had been working with on my apprenticeship, as a full stack applications developer.

As a technology specialist I was responsible for the planning and development of new features as well as the refactoring of existing features. I worked remotely with a number of teams across different countries and applications, and also worked in fixing and writing automated test scripts.

Working as a part time quality assurance tester for Microsoft under an agency called Huntress, under supervision from a team lead I manually applied test scripts to games, ranging from testing the User Interface, to gameplay features, and recorded the results.I worked here for a short amount of time before joining an apprenticeship provided by Citi.

I have completed a week’s work experience at a software company called Aurum Solutions, who specialise in reconciliation software. I was involved in programming and running scripted tests to identify and find the source of bugs within the software, so they could be fixed. A lot of my work was independent and as I was new to the program I had to learn quickly and adapt to the software they used.
