Since October 2006 I was part of the “Reliability Engineering” team, a division of Bureau Veritas Asset Integrity & Reliability Services. My primary focus in this role was to improve asset performance, reducing costs, simplifying business processes and ensuring continuous improvement for our client base.Key Responsibilities:• Lead Auditor for CBM programs• Identify and prioritise areas for improvement in equipment reliability and production performance.• Facilitate continuous improvement projects with a variety of well known process improvement methodologies (RCM, RCA, As-is and Should-be Process Mapping etc)Key achievements:• Designed and developed a “CM User Manual” specific to a sites Condition Monitoring program systems and processes.• Designed and implemented CBM Auditing process• Successfully lead a small investigation team to identify the root causes and develop an elimination strategy for the reoccurring failures of a sites primary conveyor speed reducers.

I relocated to Tom Price in WA to join the Tom Price/ Rio Tinto Mine Condition Monitoring team. The objectives set for me were two fold:Short term goal was to implement and manage Quality Control processes to help improve the outputs (maintenance recommendations) of the CM team.Long term goals were to revise existing and develop and implement improved CM strategies and workflow processes that were align to key business objectives.Key Responsibilities:• Provide technical guidance to the CM department to ensure that the maintenance recommendations provided to area planners were accurate and appropriate.• Coach and mentor the CM Team.• Identify opportunities for improving the utility of the CM group’s output.• Measure and report value the CM program was to the business• Facilitate improvement methodologies such as RCA.Key achievements:• Improved the performance of the site’s Condition Monitoring (CM) program.• Successfully developed and implemented new and improved Condition Monitoring Strategy into the sites CMMS (SAP)• Designed and implemented new and improved CM workflow processes• Lead several continuous improvement projects using various RCA methodologies
