My role within PSL is a business analysis for Phoebus finance system. I am currently working on the implementation for Aviva moving then from their bespoke system on to the Phoebus product. Within this role I gained a number of skills.BUSINESS ANALYSIS ROLE:• Analyzing data and gathering the client requirements.• Writing FSD for developers and for clients to sign of (Writing epic’s and stories in Jira).• Prioritizing backlog and projects.• Holding workshops, meetings and showcases with both clients, development and testing team.• Working at a fast pace with high quality. • Communicating with clients and development/ testing teams daily over email, phone calls and face to face.• High level understanding of Software development life cycle and working in agile.DEVELOPER ROLE:• Design, development and implementation of finance systems based on outline specifications provided by a client.• System testing code finding any bugs before deploying to client• Develop high quality code that has passed automated testing and system testing.• Building a project and releasing it through to LIVE.• Applications/Languages used every day: SQL server, XML, XSL, Liquibase, Jira, Jenkins, Phoebus financial system, Junit, Integration testing and client’s live server.
