Dr. Bellenoit is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and has been practicing in this field for over 15 years. Dr. Bellenoit graduated from the Hofstra Marriage and Family Therapy program in May of 2004. She then earned her PhD from The University of Connecticut in 2010. Her doctoral research interests focused on the correlation between early childhood relationship experiences (with caregivers, siblings, etc.) and adult romantic relationship experiences. She graduated from Providence College with her BS in Psychology with a Women’s Studies Minor in 1997.Her clinical experience began at a residential treatment center on Long Island during her first internship at Hofstra. Since then, she has worked in multiple settings such as outpatient mental health agencies, private practice, and hospitals. She was Chief Operating Officer of Adelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services in Cromwell, CT until 2013, when she left to pursue private practice and teaching at the University of Connecticut. During this time, she also secured adjunct faculty positions at Central Connecticut State University and St. Joseph’s University. In March of 2016, she was chosen to serve as the 3rd (and 1st woman) Executive Director at the Community Child Guidance Clinic in Manchester, CT. In July of 2017, she was nominated for and selected to win the 40 Under 40 Award from the Hartford Business Journal. Most recently, Jamie was accepted to the Global Executive Leadership Program at Yale University. The Yale GELP is divided into three intensive classroom modules at Yale School of Management campus to engage on all aspects of global executive leadership. The program focuses on the following areas: organizational, personal, people, and strategic financial leadership. She has enjoyed her transition from straight clinical work to executive level management in the field of behavioral health.
