Initially hired on for one project, I noticed the potential for the companies expansion and stayed on as the Production Manager. By far the largest shop I have run. At one point, I had 80 carpenters at my disposal. My duties were to manage all staff involved in the fabrication of trade shows and Museums on our production schedule. My role involved interaction with Project Managers, Sales, Detailing and graphics.

I was approached by Astound Group to assist in the transformation of their business model to incorporate local production. I assisted in moving their production from China to Canada. We managed to increase our productivity enough to allow me to hire 8 carpenters and 4 installers. Our clients ranged from obscure tech companies to main stream ones such as Telus.

I began working with this company when I was with Piddi Design. They utilized my talents to bring previously outsourced Millwork in house. I agreed to help procure an appropriate workspace, purchase machinery and hire staff.

A great experience in the make believe world of Hollywood. Was afforded the opportunity to build almost everything. Helped me to develop the philosophy that anything imagined could be constructed. Cut my teeth as a carpenter in this industry and rose in the ranks to being the Head carpenter on several productions.

My first love, The restaurant biz. I started off as a prep cook and worked my way up to managing the Keg Mansion in Toronto. This experience provided a firm base in dealing with the public and fellow staff in a high pressure deadline crucial environment.
