http://milwaukeejazzvision.orgThe Milwaukee Jazz Vision is dedicated to advancing the development and growth of the JAZZ COMMUNITY in Milwaukee, WI. The MJV is responsible for the biannual Eastside Jazzfest. The festival is a one day concert featuring Milwaukee-based jazz acts and national/international acts with ties to Milwaukee. The festival was also established to raise money for the MJV scholarship program. Starting in 2012 the MJV will distribute funding for 4 scholarships, one each at he following institutions: The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, The Milwaukee Area Technical College, The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, and the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra - Jazz Studies Program. The MJV will also provide an outlet for Milwaukee based musicians to promote their performances and/or the sales of their recordings, ultimately facilitating the growth and development of the Milwaukee Jazz Community at large.

Jamie has shared the stage with many nationally recognized musicians including: Arturo O' Farrill, Dan Nimmer, Joe Sanders, Willie Pickens, Jim Pugh, Steve Houghton, Brian Lynch, Pete Zimmer, Rob Wilkerson, Rick Germanson, Jon Faddis, Dan Kinzelman, and Carl Allen. Jamie has performed with Grammy nominated R & B artist Eric Benet, and was featured live in performance for the taping of his recent music videos [The Hunger" & "You're the Only One]. Jamie has also performed with the band Brazzaville led by David Brown (of Beck fame), and comedian Bob Newhart. In 2005, Jamie was the featured artist on the nationally syndicated NPR show “Says You “. Jamie’s main project currently is the band Choir Fight.As an educator, Jamie has been the Director of Bands at Maple Dale School in Fox Point, WI since 2002. In addition to being a full-time band director, he is on the faculty at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Cardinal Stritch University, and has recently been added as an adjunct instructor of Jazz Trumpet at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. In 2010 he became one of the co-founders of the Milwaukee Jazz Vision, an organization guided by the purpose of advancing jazz music in the greater Milwaukee area.
