I am a trained clinical psychologist who is now pursuing research in personalised mental health treatments using AI and machine learning at Princeton University.Previously, I developed community and school-based mental health programs that involved early detection and intervention of anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidal behaviours. I also provided one-on-one psychological treatments for adolescents who struggled with treatment-resistant depression.I also co-founded The Brightly Project, a mental health startup that created a digital screening tool that helps school counsellors identify and connect with adolescents who are struggling with poor mental health in a private and friendly manner.In 2016, I was selected as a Forbes 30 Under 30 for Social Entrepreneurship, and have had the opportunity to speak at many conferences and educational institutions about adolescent mental health, technology, and social impact work. In 2019, I was endorsed as a Champion for Change by Channel NewsAsia in Singapore, and in 2022, I received a WomenWhoCode scholarship in Machine Learning as well as a Princeton University Fellowship to engage in PhD research in Cognitive Science and Neuroscience.I welcome connections to collaborate on academic research, opportunities in social impact and tech startups, as well as engagements for speaking events and panels.
