As the Chief Development Officer at Cure SMA, I oversee the strategic development, fundraising, marketing, and communications teams. My role involves creating and executing comprehensive fundraising and marketing strategic plans to support the organization's mission of funding muscle and nerve therapy research. Through my leadership, we are able to expand our reach and meet the growing needs of the SMA community.

In my role as Senior Director of Field Operations at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, I led annual planning, business strategy, and budgeting for the field management department. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, I developed best practices, risk management strategies, and area metrics to drive continuous improvement. Partnering with executive leadership, I oversaw strategic and financial planning to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Responsible for developing a regional growth strategy for revenue generation, cross market collaboration and resource sharing in collaboration with chapter Executive Directors. Provide guidance to 65 chapter staff including Executive Directors, chapter field staff, Field Operations Manager and other national partners assigned to the region while fostering a culture of high performance and accountability. Lead the field team to provide solutions that enable each business unit to meet and exceed revenue goals of $16 million net annually, while serving and engaging the Foundation’s volunteers, donors and families with a special emphasis on ensuring Foundation best practices are adhered to.

Responsible for creating an atmosphere where chapter staff and volunteers succeed in partnering and meeting the objectives of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's mission. Through leadership, management and growth of the chapter’s revenue generating capacity as well the ongoing development of a high level volunteer Board. Integral to my success is annual planning, budget development, implementation and execution of all fundraising activities, and evaluation of all chapter operations in partnership with the chapter Board of Directors as well as all volunteer committees.

Driving the strategic planning for the JDRF One Walk and JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes programs for 11 business units in the Central States area. I work with chapter/branch staff to develop a strategic plan each fiscal year that will drive revenue in excess of $6.5 million for the region. In addition, I work with the National Walk Senior Leadership team on developing the new JDRF One Walk initiative which touches people at all levels in the organization including chapter staff, regional staff, national staff, and local and national volunteers.

2008-2010 Event Chair - Relay for Life - Douglas CountyResponsible for coordination of Relay For Life event which produces over $375,000 per year in fundraising efforts for the American Cancer Society.Responsible for promoting the five development areas that are required for the Relay For Life event. These include: event development, leadership development, team development, survivorship development and fundraising development.Establish and maintain working relationships with major event donors including Alegent Health; Develop media and marketing materials to promote Relay For Life event including program event, press releases, quarterly newsletter, public service announcements and live TV interviews.Establish and maintain working relationships with team captains and team members from National Corporate Team Program including Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Curves, Target, Best Buy and Sam's Club.Team Development ChairResponsible for recruitment, retention and mentoring of 280 Relay for Life teams. Conducted grant proposal research for funding in excess of $100,000 for Transportation Program/Patient Services for American Caner Society.Conducted interviews with Guest Room patients where patient feedback was used for support of the Hope Lodge proposal.Solicitation of local hotels for participation in Guest Room program.Researched the benefits and need for building a HOPE Lodge facility for the Omaha Metro area.
