As an integral member of the site leadership team, I worked with senior leadership and plant leadership on strategies to improve plant profitability and long term sustainability. I acted as the financial advisor to Operations leadership, translating financial jargon into operations actionable items. I provided monthly analysis of the plant profitability, breaking down revenue, fix and variable cost factors into price, volume and efficiency drivers. I also led the annual planning exercise and conducted follow up quarterly variance analyses. I often carried out short to medium term profitability scenario analyses, projecting future profitability and exploring ways how to improve financial results and maintain long term sustainability. I was also constantly involved in reviewing and challenging project economics, tracking the return on invesment for each project on a periodic basis. Due to my experience in Operations, I was constantly called to lead Operations Productivity improvement studies, ranging from new product feasibility to operations shift work hours analysis from a financial perspective and tie them back to the plant P&L. I was also involved in new accounting policy roll-outs, new financial system set ups, reviewing, approving and tracking of project returns and working capital inventory management.

Regional leader to plant accountants at Guangzhou, Shanghai and Singapore sites in areas of product costing, financial reporting and analysis. Regional guardian for manufacturing accounting policies and ensured adherence to the policies as well as streamlining it to the US headquarters requirements. Analyzed gaps and led the sites to make the necessary improvements when gaps are identified. Trainer and mentor to plant accountants in conducting variance analyses and understanding Operations profitability drivers.
