Young people are often told about the challenges of growing up today, from exam pressure to social media comparison culture. By encouraging students to think actively, work collaboratively and plan for the long-term, my ventures empower them to make the most of the changes in the world, rather than feeling constrained by them.I’m the founder of the Oxford Scholastica Academy, an education company giving 12-18 year olds the edge to help them to succeed, find their purpose and make a difference in the world. We offer academic residential and online courses. I recently co-founded EdProof, which empowers great schools to grow by using data to showcase the value they add beyond exam results, and CareerProof, which supports undergraduates and recent graduates to build a career that is successful, socially impactful and fulfilling.In my past life as a social entrepreneur, I founded OxFizz (pioneering a new model of volunteering and philanthropy, raising £1m for charity) and the Charity Football League (raising £70k for charity). I’m an Ambassador for Jacari, a charity set up in 1956 which I used to chair. Jacari provides free English language support to refugee and migrant children.
