CurrentSenior Editor for a small independent publisher. I maintain our SEO and publishing strategy, liaise with our ad network partners, provide graphics and photo editing for most of the site, and copywriter. I also provide much of the front-end web development for our CMS (Wordpress). I proof-read reviews and editorials, as well as edit others' copy to make it suitable for web publishing.I handle a variety of product reviews, including; full systems, storage, networking, audio, peripherals such as keyboards and mice, games, software, and a wide range of gadgets. I keep people apprised of current technology trends through regular news updates, as well as helping people with technical questions through our forums and social media. I also handle many of the technical press releases and announcements for CPU and GPU launches.The role entails a large amount of research, not just fact-checking, but also tests for benchmarks and performance analysis. I provide assistance with our in-house test suite, developing new benchmarks for software that rely on hardware acceleration from CPUs and GPUs. In recent years, this has focused more on the professional market of media & entertainment, and creative applications, such as those from Adobe and Autodesk, as well as Blender, Reality Capture, video editing suites, and renderers.
