I have had the pleasure to partner with this small organization to provide marketing support and sales experience to grow the business. Schools Cubed is the only consulting group that focuses on the school principal as the key to drastically changing outcomes for students in the school improvement process. The key? Building principals must be equipped with the systems and structures necessary to implement the Science of Reading.

In a sales role, I worked to expand the usage of 95% Group literacy intervention products. Because the large majority of customers purchased products through the online store, a good portion of time, especially in larger implementations, was spent consulting with school and district leadership on building training plans to ensure appropriate usage of products, supporting them with making the most of their investment.

I established a footprint for the company in unchartered territory, and spearheaded negotiation of statewide contract to include customized offerings and pricing reflective of the Colorado market.

I had the privilege of partnering with school, district, and state leaders to accelerate educational improvements in Colorado. Many qualities of my personality, as well as my professional experience in various facets of education, contributed to my success with Amplify. I took a company that had only a few relationships and no brand recognition in CO and, over time, turned it into a household name, building a reputation that we're educators, and trusted professionals that partner with districts to change the trajectory for children. I understand challenges teachers and administrators face, and what practices need to be in place to truly drive systemic change. My passion is, and always has been, education. Key achievements:• Pioneered company brand and reputation in Colorado as trusted educational partners, leading to increased customer base of 10 districts (~10,000 users) in 2011 to 135 districts (~136,000 users) in 2017.• Generated nearly $24M in revenue over six years, and consistently performed as one of company’s highest producers• Recognized annually for superior work, resulting in a 90% increase in base salary over the course of employment• Created company history, being the first person to ever secure a districtwide contract with DPS, valued at nearly $3M

Performed work ranging from moderate complexity applying practices and technical expertise in areas of accounting, audit, financial management and continuous improvement. Operating remotely, as a member of a team, I regularly monitored programs with local education agencies, for the purpose of determining fiscal and programmatic compliance with applicable federal and state rules and regulations, agency guidelines and the enhancement of the quality of the programs. Key achievements:• Facilitated the approval process for 75 school districts in Illinois, ensuring compliance with Title Federal regulations, allowing districts to receive operating funds in a timely manner• Managed high expectations with district leadership during the approval process by offering professional advice and responsive, ongoing guidance, which resulted in exceptional customer satisfaction as reported by clients• Praised by ISBE Leadership for excellent customer satisfaction and attention to detail, leading to a request to participate in the review for Chicago Public Schools’ application (~$30M)

Reading First was an intense nationwide effort to enable all students to become successfulearly readers and to ensure that children in high-poverty schools received effectivereading instruction in the early grades. The initiative built on the findings of years ofscientific research, which were compiled by the National Reading Panel (NPR). As part of the federal program, I was responsible for providing professional development and monitoring the implementation of the competitive grant for 3 schools in Southern Illinois.Key Achievements:• Led three underperforming elementary schools with high percentages of impoverished students reading “well-below grade level” through the federal Reading First initiative by creating literacy experts and instructional leaders in every building• Established self as a trusted and responsive partner by spending at least 75% of time in buildings to coach and mentor educators, facilitate challenging conversations, and build sustainable practices, leading to the creation of conditions where all students were positioned to be successful• Completed the three-year grant by increasing the amount of students reading “at grade level” by 77%, thereby positively impacting the educational trajectory for many children
