I am responsible for the rebuilding of various mill equipment. I have rebuilt planetary gear boxes, spray arms, distribution chutes, tilt gear boxes, material gates, and swing arms and this is a small list. I have extensive knowledge in the mill industry on both the equipment that they need to keep up and running in addition to the heavy machinery needed to keep things operating. I have reduced the turnaround time in the shop for parts in by 50% at the minimum. I am able to rebuild a planetary gear box in 1 – 2 weeks which includes the testing time. Paul Wurth has recently relocated from Portage to Valpo and I headed the organization of the new shop as well as the tear down of the old shop. I am also responsible for reading the blue prints and verifying the parts list. I receive the parts and keep an organization to them for ease of use for all co-workers. I keep an accurate time count of my projects for proper billing and shop budgeting accountability. I handle coordinating all of the deliveries and shipments and am certified on the fork lift. I also am certified on the overhead 5 ton cranes.
