AES Northeast is a 45-person multiple discipline company with offices in Plattsburgh, NY and Burlington, VT whose services includer Architecture, Engineering, Surveying and Construction Management. I work remotely as a member of the architectural team. Projects include manufacturing, municipal and hospitality.

Cobb Hill is a 30+ person design/build construction company who carries out large and small projects in both the residential and commercial sectors. As part of Cobb Hill's in-house design department, I was responsible for design and construction document production on a variety of select commercial and residential projects. During this time , I was the company's only Revit user and held sole responsibility for the development of drawing sets.I was also involved with in-house standards and procedures in a number of areas. I served as the company's Procore Administrator from the time we started using the program, until my departure. I was in charge of overseeing the implementation and company standards for this platform and regularly provided training and in-house tech support for all Cobb Hill employees. Beyond Procore, I worked directly with the operations manager overseeing office standards on scheduling and project management protocol and trained new employees in both of those elements.

As an assistant project manager, I was involved in construction operations on a variety of projects, primarily residential and senior living. This work includes schedules and financial control. Depending on the project, I was either the primary or secondary contact with architects, vendors, subcontractors and clients. I also have daily communication with field personal in regards to progress, schedules and staffing. On higher complexity projects, I worked full time in the field carrying out project management in conjunction with a full time superintendent. When needed, I filled in on other aspects as well. I have worked as an interim superintendent, with the longest assignment being just over two months. I also carried out design for several projects where this was handled in house.

I officiated high school, middle school and youth wrestling statewide. Additionally, I served on the executive board as Secretary/Treasurer from 2006-2009.

Belmont, Nh

Opechee is a 20+ employee Design/Build firm specializing in hospitality and multiple unit residential work throughout New England. I was primarily responsible for the development of architectural documents for hotel and multiple unit residential projects. The hospitality work included both boutique and national brand hotels, including several Hilton and Marriott projects. These branded projects included following and modifying prototype designs to work with local codes, specific sites and franchise driven modifications. This experience enabled me to continue my work in multiple unit and hospitality projects, while giving me the experience of working on national brand projects for the first time.

Berard Martel is an eight person firm located just outside Manchester, NH. Berard Martel has a broad practice that includes multiple family residential, hospitality and corporate work in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts. I was involved in all phases of design and construction administration on a number of projects. Some of the more notable work included the Medicus Headquarters in Windham, NH as well as both the Riverwalk and South Mountain Resorts at the base of Loon Mountain. The variety of work served as a great experience, especially working in the hospitality sector, which I previously had not done.

This job was a multi-faceted position in the Public Works bureau, where we served as using agency representatives for a great variety of state building projects. As a clerk of the works, I worked on site and monitored and documented construction progress, quality and document compliance on a daily basis As a Labor Compliance Officer, I monitored and enforced Federal and State labor regulation compliance including workmen's compensation and prevailing wages. I worked primarily on renovation projects, most notably the Philbrook Building in Concord, NH. This involved converting a dormant healthcare facility into office space.This experience enabled me to gain valuable experiences both on site and working from the owner side of the industry.

New London, Nh

Bonin Architects is a residential design firm located in the Lake Sunapee region of New Hampshire, with projects throughout the state. I developed a wide variety of presentation graphics and both Architectural and Structural construction documents, and was active in client meetings and on site work throughout all phases of design and construction. The high end custom nature of these project brought about unique considerations from structural and aesthetic perspectives. Additionally, several of the projects were on lakefront sites, which also carried unique considerations. In addition to working for Bonin directly, I have worked with them on several projects with Cobb Hill in both a project management and site superintendent capacity.

Pittsfield, Ma

Bradley Architects is a five person multidisciplinary firm in Berkshire County, MA that also offers Landscape Architecture and Interior Design services. The projects were diverse, including Commercial, Medical and Residential, including a large percent of work in a National Historic District in Pittsfield, MA. I carried out all phases of architectural work from Pre-Design through condominium documentation.

Portsmouth, Nh

DeStefano Architects has a broad practice and is located in the Seacoast Region of NH. The work included high end lake and oceanfront residences, restaurants and small commercial work. A number of the projects were located in Downtown Portsmouth's Historic District. I worked on document development for all phases, including Historic District Commission presentations.

Newburyport, Ma

EGA is a mid sized architectural firm that is located on the North Shore in Masschusetts, and formerly had a satellite office in Des Moines, IA. They specialize exclusively in architectural design and campus planning for Senior Living Facilities. This work includes both cottage developments and large scale Continuing Care Retirement Centers with multiple levels of care from independent living through skilled nursing. Many projects involved multiple phases of development and long term master planning. I worked on all phases of document development, including extensive code analysis dealing with accessibility, local health care, life safety and fair housing regulations. I also took part in all phases of CA, including punch list inspections to determine substantial completion.This position was my first experience with multiple unit/multiple use projects, which I went on to work extensively in several subsequent positions.

Hampton, Nh

Royal Design Builders was a design/build company located on the New Hampshire Seacoast. The projects were primarily financial institutions and waterfront residences. The projects often utilized fast track processes and construction management in house as well as utilizing outside contractors. I worked on all phases of design and document production, and also prepared bid packages for subcontractors on the projects were we served as general contractor.This experience was my first of several Design/Build companies. The experience of working in this setting early was great for building perspective prior to working in traditional architectural roles, before eventually returning to Design/Build.

Best & Joslin Architects and Interior Designers was a small firm located outside Hartford, CT that specialized in Public Library work. I worked there for three summers during college in 1999, 2000 and 2001. I was involved in drafting of construction documents, primarily for open public bidding.
