During the summer university break, in order to keep myself busy whilst enhancing my CV, I undertook the role of a water meter surveyor for a major civil engineering company based in Uddingston, working on behalf of Scottish Water. This role was at a branded packaging factory which primarily manufactures branded decorative whiskey tubes for bottles to presented in; it also produced boxes and other alcohol packaging for companies around the globe. My duties included packing, palletizing and securing finished products for transport. This role required a great deal of communication.

During my time with Connaught, I worked as a trainee tiler. My duties were to prepare work surfaces as well as the tradesmen's tools. I was also responsible for tiling and doing the majority of the grouting, while adhering to all site health and safety rules.
