In 2000 I left the classroom to start my own thriving tutoring business specializing in helping the reluctant reader using a multi-sensory approach. During that time, I became a Certified Academic Language Therapist, earned a Masters of Special Education with a dyslexia specialization, and most recently, became a certified diagnostician. I have been trained in many language therapy programs including Lindamood-Bell, Take Flight, and other Orton-Gillingham programs. With over 23 years of teaching experience, I have brought my love of learning to help my students reach their potential and build their confidence. With my deep understanding of the dyslexic brain, I have been able to take my student’s strengths and use those to build the areas where deficiencies existed, all while making learning fun and engaging.
