Jamie boasts an impressive 40-year career in the field of retail leasing, encompassing comprehensive expertise in tenant representation and retail property leasing & sales across a diverse spectrum of tenant categories. His focus for Tenant representation primarily revolves around Food and Beverage (F&B) operators. Over the course of his career, Jamie has effectively navigated the intricacies of leasing in multifaceted settings, spanning from complex mixed-use urban developments to shopping malls, historic landmarks, outlets, and suburban strips. He gained invaluable experience working for prominent organizations such as The Rouse Company, Prime Retail, General Growth, Struever Bros Eccles & Rouse, and he even ventured into entrepreneurship, operating his own firm, Artios Retail, for six years.Throughout his career, Jamie has successfully executed a wide array of lease transactions, serving both national retail giants like the Cheesecake Factory, Brooks Brothers, and Pottery Barn, as well as acclaimed local chefs, including James Beard Award recipients like Robert Wiedmaier, Tony Foreman, Cindy Wolfe, and Durham's Scott Howell. His contributions also extend to assisting new and exciting retailers like Mission BBQ and Raising Cane's, for whom he continues to act as a representative through Segall Group. Recently, Jamie has been assisting Trader Joe’s with their expansion in Central & SW VA.In terms of education, Jamie holds a double major and a Bachelor of Science degree from Hampden-Sydney College in mathematics and economics. He has been recognized with prestigious awards for his exceptional achievements in retail merchandising and leasing, notably the "Heavy Hitter Award" from the Baltimore Business Journal and multiple CoStar Power Broker Awards. Jamie has been a member of the ICSC (industry trade organization) for almost 30 years. Furthermore, Jamie holds Broker's licenses in Maryland and Virginia.
