As the Development and Community Relations Manager – Northern Tier, I am responsible for local region outreach, advocacy, relationship development, and public relations for the Williamsport branch of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. I work to establish and promote all external relationships on behalf of the Food Bank to further promote awareness, brand image, food availability, support (monetary and volunteer related), donations (food, funds and time) and program expansion in the Northern Tier territory.Areas of accountability include:•Maintain relationship with local community partners including government entities across the Northern Tier•Identify local funding sources and prepare grants on behalf of the organization and our partners to request funds in support of the Food Bank mission•Ensure strong relationships with businesses and community groups to provide hunger education, food drives, and volunteer opportunities•Develop relationships and donation programs with local food manufacturers and other organizations across the Northern Tier•Form and manage local community advisory group for the Northern Tier•Serve as a primary public ambassador for the Northern Tier. Manage relationships with agencies, food and monetary donors, sponsors, community members and collaboration partners including other non-profits in the Northern Tier.•Develop and maintain robust research, prospecting, cultivation, tracking, recognition and reporting processes and systems for Northern Tier fund development and business development activities•Work with CPFB’s Director of Development, manage a portfolio of individual major donors, business relationships, foundation and other organizational donors, and planned giving prospected in the Northern Tier

As Williamsport Branch Director at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, I was responsible for the administration and management of the Williamsport Branch. I had a vast array of duties, including:• Monitor the income and expenditures of the Williamsport Branch.• Provide for revenue sufficient to support the expenses of the Williamsport Branch.• In concert with the Executive Director, oversee all personnel matters to include hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations and work performance reviews for Williamsport Branch staff.• Develop and coordinate special projects for service area in coordination with Executive Director.• Develop, modify and maintain Food Bank operating practices, procedures and controls for Williamsport Branch.• Responsible for recruiting new Member Agencies for the Food Bank and maintaining a sound relationship with all Member Agencies.• Work in cooperation with Executive Director in developing long term planning for Williamsport Branch.• Develop relationships with businesses and community groups to provide hunger education, food drives, and volunteer opportunities.• Prepare grant applications for funding and seeks out potential sources of funds.• Develop donation programs with local food manufacturers in service area in coordination with Director of Donor Relations.• Develop and maintain a strong and meaningful public relations program in coordination with the Director of Communications/Development.
