I once had a co-worker give me the nickname Slayer because I "slayed every project" and listened exclusively to metal. Thankfully, my musical tastes have branched out a little bit since then.I’m a professional graphic designer with 10+ years of experience working in various industries including non-profit, government, and digital marketing. From logo and identity design to pitch decks and presentations, I do a little bit of everything. I also have an extensive background in commercial real estate marketing, having worked in-house and on a freelance basis for multiple local and national CRE companies.My real passion, however, is working with positive-impact brands to develop unique and compelling brand identities, and exploring how designers and brands can work together to make better decisions to reduce our impact on the environment. I believe designers have a responsibility to promote sustainability and ethical practices.I love design because it’s all about creative problem-solving. I take an empathetic approach in my process, using psychology to strategically drive each decision. Because design is not about making something that just looks pretty — it’s about finding the most effective solution to a specific problem. When I'm not working, I love drawing and painting. I'm also very passionate about the things I believe in: namely animal welfare, advocating for pit bull-type dogs, and living sustainably.
