Active participant in site LPS safety initiatives including the LPSA, LPO and JLA.With a focus on the Utilities, Sulfur and Amine plants at first, I back-filled for the contact engineer for over two months straight, and over 80 total days, acting as the site's first point of technical contact. One major project was to develop and implement the Monthly Utilities Monitoring (MUM) list, working with the technical contact as well as EMRE specialists to monitor key performance indicators, identify improvement areas, and steward findings. I have experience back-filling for the site's Catalytic Reforming Unit, Diesel Hydrofining Unit, Naphtha Hydrofining Unit, and Alkylation Unit as well, giving me well rounded exposure and a deeper understanding of many refining processes. Key field experience includes fin-fan cleanliness inspections and airflow surveys on 200+ fin-fans post chemical cleaning summerization efforts. These tests ensure quality cleaning, according to site cleanliness standards. Properly cleaned, maintained fin-fans has an incentive of approximately $2 million each summer.Final major project included performing an Acid Velocity and Hydraulic Study on the acid service piping within the Alkylation unit, to negate the current front end charge limit, and prove the true constraints are localized velocity limits. (Incentive of ~$15k/day). Show less
