I am a passionate non-profit leader with over 20 years experience in leading and managing innovative social change organizations. I have spent the majority of my career working in national education non-profits to keep underserved students on track and prepared for high school and beyond through hands-on project based learning. In 2017, I paused my professional career to serve as the full-time caregiver and nurse for my mother who was diagnosed with a progressive brain disease. While taking care of my mom full-time, I work a few hours a month at a local art gallery, volunteer at an independent music listening room and serve on a local committee focusing on rural arts education. Additionally, I volunteer at mini horse farm, and serve as a certified Texas Master Naturalist, providing education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas for the State of Texas.
