With over 35 years of experience in Transportation Design and Planning, and as an active member of both ITS Heartland and ITS America, I have seen incredible advancements in the implementation and integration of technology and transportation systems. As the President of gbaSI, I lead an extraordinary staff of engineers and network specialists responsible for integration, operation and maintenance and communication projects for cities, counties, and state agencies across the US. As we work for clients across the US, I have come to the realization that When and How are now the driving questions for networking, remote connectivity and distant learning, and the wide proliferation of emerging technologies. While no one knows exactly how the new demands will ultimately affect the communications industry, no one disagrees that changes are occurring. We ensure our projects are designed so our clients are selecting system enhancements and implementing improvements that are capable of adapting to their evolving needs and the abilities of tested and proven technology platforms.With these new realities in mind, I work hard every day to ensure that gbaSI is an innovation based company that recognizes these new challenges and looks for ways to support and improve existing and new communication systems and processes. The key ways that we do this is by working closely with clients to fully understand their core mission and resources, and to then develop innovative methods to take advantage of existing infrastructures, to modernize systems and procedures where possible, and to expand system capabilities without breaking the bank.
