The words in my hundreds of inbox emails unintelligible through the brain fog. I went to yoga to clear my mind. By noon, I was back in bed, exhausted for days, from just one yoga class. You see, I had chronic fatigue due to burnout.After a lifetime of trying to fit into a specific mold to win; in school it was schoolwork, the honor roll, and gymnastics. Later, at work, it was about winning at sales. Then moving from Canada to the USA I continued my win at work focus. I perfected leaving my authentic self at home every morning and performing - constantly pushing hard for results. It took a toll.I was on top, having a great time working with high level executives, business owners, professionals, and public figures as clients, but it was a high stress approach. My body snapped from tension. Work hard, and never give up, was my favorite saying. Still is.Today I ask, “how can I work-hard and never give up sustainably?”My purpose is STILL to achieve Equal Female Representation on F500 Boards.Through the brain fog and fatigue, I kept meditating and practicing yoga. I discovered mindfulness tools to de-stress every corner of my life, including how I showed up in the world. I continue to evolve my personal brand to show up authentically. Then something new happened: I had my BEST year.I was in flow. More BEING less DOING, allowed me to relax. The surprising outcome; I was able to operate at PEAK PERFORMANCE.Does this resonate for you?
