As a communications professional, creative producer, and musician, my journey from Scotland to St. Louis reflects a lifelong passion for connecting people through storytelling, music, and cultural experiences. Along the way, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the value of an international and objective perspective in fostering meaningful connections and crafting narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. In music, I’ve had the privilege of performing at renowned events such as New York Tartan Week, the Edinburgh Festival, and Celtic Connections, sharing stages with artists including Joan Armatrading, Damien Rice, and Dougie MacLean. Beyond these highlights, I’ve performed at music festivals across Europe, Australia, and the U.S., each experience offering an opportunity to connect with passionate individuals and form lasting friendships.Since moving to the U.S. in 2019, I’ve worked across diverse industries, including advocacy for international correspondents and journalists, long-term care rights, cultural and heritage nonprofits, and now, local government. My work is grounded in a commitment to clear, impactful communication and crafting strategies that drive meaningful outcomes.I am deeply passionate about the power of open dialogue, collaboration, and partnership to build bridges of understanding and create progress for all. I believe in the strength of community, the importance of equity, and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. As an ambassador for the World Peace Tartan and the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, I am proud to champion cultural exchange and shared heritage.Whether performing on stage or crafting a communications strategy, I strive to blend creativity, purpose, and connection with authenticity, humanity, and, when appropriate, a touch of humor.
