The Volunteer FF/EMT normally works under the supervision of a company officer and is expected to function effectively as part of a highly trained team. Fire instructors play a critical role in the development of firefighters. Jamie as Lieutenant, serves in a leadership role and is a component of management and as the training officer or instructor has the unique opportunity to lead the department or organization.
