I have over 20 years' experience of advising and helping underperforming and distressed businesses. I am skilled at spotting symptoms of distress, diagnosing problems and prescribing solutions to ensure that the various stakeholders' interests are protected in the best way possible in the circumstances. Typically I provide advice to secured lenders, shareholders and company directors in the SME market, helping them to address the difficulties they face in a professional and empathetic manner. I have dealt with all types of formal insolvency appointments, both personal and corporate, latterly focusing predominantly on corporate situations. These include administrations (trading and non-trading) and solvent and insolvent liquidations. I have worked across various industry sectors, including manufacturing, property, leisure and hospitality, retail, construction and haulage. I am also part of RSM's Manufacturing Sector Specialism team in Leeds. I am a Chartered Accountant and Licenced Insolvency Practitioner and also have a degree in Business Decision Analysis.Away from work, I’m a big sport and music fan, having played semi-pro football for 10 years and now playing lead guitar in a local gigging band.
