About Jamie Morey
My passion is mental health awareness and advocacy, with a particular interest in psychedelics and cannabis for healing and wellness. I'm currently working as the Community Engagement Director for MA for Mental Health Options, fighting to legalize naturally occurring psychedelics in Massachusetts and aiming to help build a strong psychedelic community in the state and beyond. Prior to joining the campaign, I founded Parents for Plant Medicine, a grassroots advocacy group dedicated to decriminalizing and destigmatizing the use of cannabis and psychedelics for healing. As the spouse of a veteran with debilitating PTSD, and the grateful recepient of psychedelic healing through a women's psilocybin retreat sponsored by Heroic Hearts/the Hope Project, I am dedicated to improving mental health for veterans and veteran famlies and reducing veteran suicide through the use of plant medicine and other alternative treatment options. I'm a proud ambassador for Heroic Hearts Project, a member of the Veteran Mental Health Leadership Coalition and co-founder of the MA-based Veteran Alliance for Psychedelic Access.As a mother of 4 children suffering from the neurological autoimmune disorder PANS/PANDAS, my mission is raising awareness of this disorder and its many triggers (mold, Lyme disease, Covid, strep, etc.) and of the link between neuroinflammation and mental health in general, as well as the healing that plant medicine can provide for those suffering and the help it can provide in resolving trauma for patients and their caregivers.With nearly 25 years of experience in survey research, data collection and strategic consumer/business opinions and insights, I'm passionate about conducting and using real world research to show the efficacy of plant medicine in helping address our mental health care crisis and improving quality of life.
