As a small community based organisation working in partnership with remote Aboriginal communities, Jamie volunteered his expertise to draft business plans and polices, identify and secure new sources of revenue and provide governance leadership. During his tenure, Jamie facilitated the drafting of the inaugural and subsequent business plans and the association's five year strategic plan.

Jamie was elected by his industry peers to the company Board in 2014 for a two-year term and retired in 2016. He was a member of the Practice Development Committee and the Chairperson of the Governance and Finance Committee. As a project manager on the Network WA Project team Jamie was responsible for managing the communications and risk profile for a $64m telecommunications project. His responsibilities included the negotiation of nine memoranda of understanding between universities and several State Government agencies. It also included the creation of detailed project plans including risk management, communications and project migration plans.
Research Officer
Jamie was responsible for developing the methodology to manage a state-wide regional consultation process across regional Western Australia and the analysis of primary and secondary research into the telecommunication needs or regional communities. This included liaison with media, members of the project reference group and the preparation of ministerial communications. Jamie authored several chapters in the 700 page research document, including the methodology chapter.
Senior Consultant
Rising to the level of senior consultant, Jamie provided professional human resource consultancy services to the Western Australian minerals and petroleum industries.
