With over 20 years of experience in literacy and language education, I bring a passion for empowering students to become confident and effective communicators. I have worked with students from a variety of educational backgrounds, including students with diverse abilities and Multilingual Learners (MLs), across both K-12 and higher education settings since 2000.As a teacher of composition, my primary goal is to provide students with the experience and confidence to use the reading, writing, and critical thinking tools learned in class to empower themselves to communicate clearly and defend their beliefs. I hope to help students become better college students, employees, and community members. noMy interests are in First Year Composition, Educational Technology, Inclusive Teaching and Learning Practices, Universal Design for Learning, Instructional Design, Open Educational Resources, AI, and Online Learning.
