UWA Aerospace is a newly formed club operating at the University of Western Australia. We are currently participating in the inaugural Australian University Rocket Competition, hosted by the Australian Youth Aerospace Association.I helped found the team in March 2018 alongside fellow engineering students. My responsibilities include, working with the team to produce project proposals and team deadlines. I am also a part of the team management having overseen the recruitment of our team members. As the flight analysis Lead it is my responsibility to incorporate data logging equipment into the competition rocket, and then process this data to help improve our design. I am also working in the recovery team, which requires us to design and implement a parachute system which can be automatically deployed and mounted within the rocket.
