I am an accomplished team leader & engineer with wide-ranging experience of noise and vibration testing, simulation, analysis and development gained from 29 years in the automotive industry. Since 2004 I have worked for Faurecia. I initially came into the NVH Test group bringing my experience in test from the UK and implementing new systems here in the US. I moved into NVH Simulation where I learned the fundamentals of exhaust tuning theory and modelling. I took the experience from both test & simulation and moved into NVH development – bringing multiple platforms from RFQ to production as an NVH development engineer and subsequently as NVH Simulation Manager.I have put particular emphasis on continuous improvement activities that improved the utilization of our resources & data; empowering others to perform tasks previously the realm of the specialist; that made the mundane & difficult tasks, easy. Much of this has been possible by the development of my Visual Basic skills over the last 10 years.I moved into innovation in 2014, bringing a new exhaust valve design from initial prototypes to production. I worked on managing several innovation projects from fueling through RFQ readiness including Resonance Free Pipe (Gen 2) and a tunable Helmholtz resonator. In 2022, with the swift change of the automotive industry away from ICE, I moved into a new team Forvia has created - the New Business Factory. The NBF is focused on finding and developing new business areas in the energy, mobility and emissions sectors for our Faurecia Clean Mobility division to move into - areas which utilize our existing assets and strengths. I am always looking for a challenge and especially to continue my continuous improvement, research, innovation and new business activities.
