As a Project Land Specialist with GAI, I serve as an in-house consultant in the Right of Way Department at the Florida Department of Transportation in District Five. In this role, I acquire real property on behalf of the Department with duties that include the following: • Negotiates with property owners and/or their representatives to acquire property required for transportation purposes.• Provides relocation assistance and advisory services to displacees.• Negotiates for easements, tenant’s consents, access, temporary construction and related agreements• Conducts field inspections of properties for assigned parcels as necessary • Maintains up-to-date records of contact attempts and parcel related data in company database • Holds team meetings as necessary• Maintains the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, as well as balance multiple projects by prioritizing effectively• Obtains information needed for filing condemnation proceedings

As an Appraiser II, I was responsible for performing field evaluation duties in the implementation of the appraisal process. Other responsibilities included measuring the perimeter of structures and assisting in the appraisal of various types of properties; as well as communicating with property owners and obtaining information for the purpose of evaluating properties.
