Serving as the Director of Industry and Business Engagement for UNLV’s Office of Economic Development (OED) and Associate Director of UNLV Research Foundation, I am focused on organization strategy, industry partnerships, technology development, venture fund creation, and development of UNLV’s research and technology park. My background as a Business Valuator and Exit Strategist with over a decade building a company in Bio-Medical Research brings together a unique experience profile in Executive Management, Stakeholder Collaboration, Commercialization, Real Estate Development, and Strategic Planning.I work with industry and local, state, and federal agencies to design and implement programs that support technology commercialization and industry diversification, based on community needs and strategic opportunities. Currently co-directing the launch of Scarlet Capital, an early-stage venture fund focused on providing funding to developing startups in the UNLV ecosystem.As part of my strong commitment to the advancement of health and medicine for southern Nevada, I also co-lead UNLV’s NIA R25 INNOVATOR Alzheimer's Innovation Program Award, a research and education initiative that aims to improve brain health and address Alzheimer's and Dementia.Additionally, I speak regularly on topics such as technology integration, women in business and technology, economic diversification, and innovation districts.
