Jamie Shaw completed a Bachelor of Commerce at University of Western Australia with a double major in Marketing and Management and a Minor in Business Law.Jamie received a Certificate of Excellence for Oral Presentation in 2001 Entrepreneurship course. After graduating university, Jamie started his first business in retail clothing and opened 3 venues in the Perth CBD and Fremantle.With a vision to help other small businesses succeed, he started with his then business partner, an entrepreneurship incubator called BBC.Jamie was an integral member of Next Network - a think tank to spark change in the Perth community to lobby councils to cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship in Western Australia. He became a founding Franchise Partner at Zambrero Group with venues in Leederville, Mt Lawley and Subiaco and Darlinghurst and then helped train new Zambrero business owners in Sydney and Perth zambrero.com.Jamie is involved in health care business Live Well Physio letslivewell.com.au.Jamie founded recruitment startup Nect nectjobs.com which helps businesses streamline their recruitment process with currently 124 businesses in Australia, USA and UK utilising our mobile app and platform.In the 14 years that Jamie has been in business as an entrepreneur he has had businesses in retail, manufacturing, hospitality, and health care.Jamie has been asked to be a guest speaker at UWA and Curtin University of Technology.Nominee 40under40 2017.
