Creative Producer
Current• Leading on the development, delivery and evaluation of all creative projects; producing and co-producing opportunities for Mayflower Theatre and MAST, upholding the objectives identified in the ACE funding agreement. • Managing the creative programmes budget, ensuring best value is achieved in all projects, whilst creating the highest possible quality of work.• Presenting both venues as centres for the local arts sector and major contributors to the cultural life of Southampton.• Working with colleagues, resident & associate companies/artists and external partners to source new work that fulfils the artistic vision and business plan.• Maintaining show budgets, maximising box office income and controlling artistic costs; subsequently contributing to the collation of statistics for management reports and funders.• Creating new and sustaining existing, strategic relationships with key stakeholders, producers, agents, creatives, and external partners, resulting in an extensive network in London and the regions. • Helping with the devising and implementation of a suitable audience development strategy to support the home grown work - promoting the creative programme for advocacy purposes.• Providing effective leadership & management to the freelance artistic team. • Contributing to business planning, strategic and organisational development.• Promoting and ensuring the implementation of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion policies by demonstrating a commitment to the broadening of cultural diversity across the business.• Committed to minimising the company’s environmental impact wherever possible with particular reference to the Environmental Policy.• Ensuring systems are in place to guarantee the building and operation are well maintained and meets all its Health and Safety requirements.• Monitoring Equity/BECTU/UK Theatre rates & legislation and staying abreast of industry news and developments.
