Specifically, formatting Facebook and Twitter posts as well as applying for continuing education credits, helping customers, and finalizing class rosters. Students learn anything from financing commercial solar projects to installing solar photovoltaic panels.

Proofreading has taught me extreme attention to detail- from the smallest comma or space to a misspelled name and, because I juggle this job and my schoolwork, I have also developed better time management skills.

I aided in developing a life cycle assessment that compared impacts of different substrates for electronics. I mainly focused on the environmental impacts of nanofibrillated and microfibrillated cellulose versus traditional plastics. To attain self-set goals, I worked with SimaPro, an LCA software, while compiling a literature review. Throughout my work, I was largely on my own conducting the research, emphasizing my ability to self-manage. This opportunity taught me research skills, time management, and the importance of short- and long-term goals.

The B Corp Clinic is a program ran by Poole College of Management at NC State University that places students with local companies to get the company B Corp Certified. Working with Renewable Energy and Preservation (REAP), located in Sanford, NC, I analyzed potential opportunities to improve REAP's B Corp Certification score. The final deliverable was a "Roadmap to B Corp Certification" that provided detailed steps for awarding points in certain areas. I focused on the environmental sector, consulting REAP on solutions that would lower their environmental impact and improve their overall score.

During my internship at Ingersoll Rand, another intern and I worked to create three end of life manuals. These end of life manuals dictated how to dispose of a product at its end of life in the most environmentally friendly way. In addition, I was assigned a small side project in which I analyzed company environmental impacts in relation to revenue and benchmarked those results against comparable corporations. I gained knowledge of life cycle analysis applications within a business, and the project highlighted the importance of teamwork, networking, and being proactive in a corporate setting.

I began at Midway Boathouse Grill as a hostess and was quickly promoted to a waitress. During my time at Midway Boathouse, I learned the importance of teamwork in a work environment, a principle that carried over into all my work experiences. As a senior waitress, I was often put in charge of workers more than twice my age. My interpersonal and customer service skills were developed and refined during my time at Midway Boathouse.
