In addition to my role within the Forth Valley Football Academy I work within the Scottish FA Performance School programme at Graeme High School.The role involves working with talented players from S1-S4 within the curriculum delivering individual technical and tactical coaching sessions aimed at supporting the development of each player within the programme.

The role of Head of Operations is to ensure all aspects of the FVFA run effectively and efficiently. The primary role is to provide the support function to the FVFA in order for it to achieve its vision and strategic objectives whilst ensuring the provision of an excellent educational environment for all players, coaches and support staff. The role of Head of Youth is to oversee the U13-16 youth phase age groups ensuring a quality of technical and tactical delivery in line with an age and staged focused curriculum. Working within the school as a senior member of staff within the schools Health and Well-being department, part of a large progressive faculty, a leader within public school education. The role was the first of its kind comprising a dynamic and challenging remit1. Create a community sports hub (Tryst Community Sports Club) in conjunction with sportscotland. Head of Community Football - Stenhousemuir Football ClubOctober 2009 to August 2010 I was charged with the responsibility of managing the community football programme at the club which included participation classes/centres (5-13 years), community teams (U5-15), pre-school classes (3-4 years), holiday camps (5-13 years), after school classes (P1-7) and all related community events.Specifically the role involved.Academy Head Coach and Head of Children’s Academy - Stenhousemuir Football ClubJuly 2009 – June 2013 This was a part-time role which I held for 4 seasons before being appointed as Head of the Children's Academy and Recruitment at the Forth Valley Football Academy.Throughout the 5 seasons I worked as head coach at both the U11s and U12s age groups.The role as head coach I was required to lead all training sessions and games, help to recruit players, make assessments on players and trialists, deliver all player reports and support the delivery of sports science and fitness testing. I was laterally charged with the responsibility of leading the Children’s Academy before the inception of the FVFA

I worked as part of the CRIF (Community Regeneration Investment Fund) team with the remit of increasing participation and coaching opportunities in socially disadvantaged areas in the city of Glasgow. The role focused on working with local sports clubs to achieve the following aims;1. Increased junior participation2. Increased adult participation3. Recruiting, supporting and retaining volunteersThe role included working with sports development officers and active schools coordinators to ensure a unified delivery of sport. As well as being part of Glasgow Culture and Sport the position was also part of the Glasgow West Development team which included working with community engagement officers and youth workers.
