Skills:1. PHP/MySQL - Now this used to be my most hated language of all after training some years in Java, now its my 2nd from Java. 2. CodeIgniter, my favorite MVC, after using Spring/Hibernate, ASP/C# etc CI has become a great workflow and used in my personal projects as well as work.3. Assembly/C/C++, this is mainly due to my Microcontroller hobby, Ardunino AMTEL/ARM PIC etc, MikroC IDE, building sound generators which is from my music passed! 4. jQuery/Javascript, Ajax calls etc - Ajax is cool!!5. Kind of junior with ASP.NET MVC 4 C# - Big switch from phpstorm but love my gadgets!6. Jack of all trades yes, but I love geeky stuff! Don't judge a book by its cover!Q. What made you switch from Java Desktop/Software to Web Development?A. An agency told me I needed a degree or PHD around in Lincoln so I focused my programming skills with PHP, but now I'm told its more experience. Sometimes its best to stick with what you enjoy the most and see where it lands you. I really enjoyed Java GUI Development in Swing & aswell as some JavaFX (CSS & FXML)Q. It says you were self employed for numerous years, what made you aim towards moving to a big company?A. My son is nearly 2 and working for yourself is a lot of work on your own... Promotion/Marketing on top of what your good at so you tend to find you end up with bad months/weeks. I decided enoughs enough and needed security so I've trained really hard (some days over 10 hours 7 days weeks) studying Computer Science / Programming in general. Even before the 2 years I've always been into programming since the age of 9 on Commedore 64's (Assembly & BASIC). My aim is to stick with a big company and watch it grow with my hard work & dedication. I don't have time to mess up with a son I love to bits.Currently studying:1.
