Initial project was to move a datacentre down in Wellington and now I am rolling out a SharePoint 2013 Intranet and Document Management System. Also was the Project Manager migrating critical applications on to new hardward.

The Mainfreight Infrastructure IT team has eight members supporting more than 1,500 people in multiple locations including mobile users. I have been a Senior member of this team for nearly five years. My role involves all aspects of managing and supporting a Windows environment including:• Active Directory• Windows 2008 Server• DNS• Backup Tools – Net Backup, Data Protection Manager, HP Data Protector• Exchange 2007/2010• Also CISCO Configuration• Also Monitoring and Alert software – IP Sentry• Also DR failovers and documentationI am also the Project Manager for IT Infrastructure Projects. Recent projects include:• Hardware Refresh ( HP EVA SANS, Virtualisation Platforms, HP BladeServers – scale $1m + hardware)• VOIP ( 8 Branches throughout NZ)• Printer Fleet Standardization (over 600 printers)

Infinity Solutions is an IT and consulting firm providing outsourcing support, ASP environments, Data centre and software solutions. I looked after 13 Staff and acted as IT Manager for around 40 small to medium companies. I was responsible for monthly billing, quoting prices and scoping designs for customers. I attended customer meetings on a regular basis to discuss issues and SLA’s and was the escalation point for customers. A big part of my job was prioritising staff movements and ensuring they were highly productive. I was the 2IC for the Support Services department and ran the department when my direct Manager was away.

The Bank of New Zealand runs a complex environment with over 150 servers in the Auckland Area and as many applications. At the BNZ I managed a team of 6 permanent staff and up to two contractors at any one time. We supported over 1000 users over a wide geographic area. This geographic spread required remote management techniques and tools and an understanding of many technical environments. It also required communicating with people in all levels of the organisation and building effective relationships with these people. I attained commendable performance ratings for all three years which is well above average.

Razorfish was an International Digital Solutions provider with 2000 staff globally. The London office had a staff of 300 Consultants. My duties as IT Manager included:• Responsibility for internal IT Network performance including e-mail and internet connectivity• Responsibility for the internal Telecommunication Systems• Providing excellent service and support to the London end-user population• Creation and Administration of the yearly IT budget• Managing and motivating a team of 16 technical staff – ranging from Helpdesk staff to Network Architects.• Timely administration of Team member performance appraisals• Participation in setting local, regional and global technical infrastructure standards, policies and processes.• Implementing and maintaining local technical infrastructure standards, policies and processes including backup and recovery capabilities.• Special Project - European Spokesperson for the decision to outsource Lotus Notes• Special Project - European Resource Coordinator (10 Offices) – for the rollout of Lotus Notes to 1200 European Users• Special Project – Design, build out and management of office move to new premises• Special Project – Specification, RFP, selection and implementation of new Telecommunications System• Third Level Server and workstation Support• Building of Microsoft Servers.• Backups and restores• Consultation of solutions required for different customers• Win2k migration from Win NT4Whilst at Razorfish I was selected to participate in a global internal management training programme called Catapult. This was seen as a programme for the leaders of the future. It involved four short courses over 4 months and covered team building, leadership, communication, mind mapping, exploring personality types, partner coaching, and presentation skills. I found this programme very valuable, empowering and have been able to put many of the skills learnt to practical use.
