Born entrepreneur, at the age of 17 Jamie set up his first business called Power Organization. The business grew to a turnover of circa £6 million and merged with its largest competitor in June 1997. He then co-founded and invented Interclubnet PLC, creating an online trading platform that most major football clubs worldwide used to buy and sell players akin to a Bloomberg terminal "X-tranet". In August 2000 the company floated on AIM with a market capitalisation of £30 million. Turnover in Year 1 totalled £8.1Million. In January 2004 Jamie launched a 9 patented service called ONSPEED which became the largest Internet accelerator in Europe. The group subsequently floated under a holding company called Z Group PLC in June 05 for £25 million on AIM. Jamie co-founded Selective Media that launched in Oct 07, which was successfully acquired by Arquiva networks in May 2013.In Jan 09, Jamie invested in Avisen PLC (AIM: AVI) now renamed to 1Spatial PLC with a Market Cap of £65 millionIn Jan 10, Jamie created the team and acquired a patented mobile application platform called Grapple mobile. Grapple won the most Innovative Mobile Agency of 2012 and was successfully acquired by Monitse PLC (MONI) AIM for up to £39million in Sep 2013.Jamie set up WorkAngel, a powerbrand to drive employee engagement, retention and satisfaction to the largest companies in the World. Board members include: Sir Terry Leahy, Lord Alliance, Jon Claydon and Tim Davie. WorkAngel merged with LifeWorks in 2016 with Jamie serving as CEO.LifeWorks was acquired for $325million in July 2018 by Morneau Shepell PLC a $2 billion corporate with Jamie taking on the CDO position within the groupand joining their ExCo.In 2021 Jamie launched Uptime, his latest venture which is looking to be a powerbrand in micro-learning. Uptime is a L&D OS that combines artificial intelligence and human curation to summarise knowledge in a unique multimodal format.In 2023, Jamie launched Bloom with Alistair Crane providing a multi point solution to mentoring and coaching at scale for the workforce. Bloom raised $10m pre seed funding through its founders and Octopus and MMC ventures.
