As a marketing representative with Humana, I handled Medicare Advantage plans and served as an adviser to local medicare recipients and clientele as well as marketing and selling products of Humana/Medicare. During my career at Humana, I proposed and implemented a program called Senior Surfers that utilized the skills of a local high school computer programming class to refurbish laptops and provide them at no charge to local senior citizens centers as well as to local libraries. I delivered presentations, both marketing and educational, to groups, individuals and organizations instructing them on the in's and out's of Medicare. I was one of five Humana employees nationwide selected to meet with and pitch an idea to the CEO of Humana, an idea that became their Silver Surfers program.

As the managing editor and writer for The Apple, I was responsible for producing, interviewing writing and helping coordinate the layout and production of the state-wide publication. I also coordinated printing and production as well as publication and distribution.
