About Jamila Na-Aata
As someone with a very diverse background, communication across cultures and connecting people to new communities are pillars of importance in my life. Currently, I work within the non-profit and educational sector and am using the communication skills from my experiences and degree to enhance the lives of people with similar backgrounds to mine. I do maintain a strong passion for language and linguistics.From the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I have obtained a bachelor's degree in Spanish Translation with a Minor in Arabic and Linguistics. I am currently studying Mandarin privately, and have a beginners understanding of Hausa, a language I'm inheriting from my father. I hope to use my language skills to open connections in a wide-array of areas, and am looking forward to making my mark in the professional world and connecting to others with similar passions and experience.
