As a family worker, I provide case management, family engagement opportunities, and family support and goal setting to a classroom of 16 preschool-aged children and their families. My case management is achieved through effective time management, attention to detail, and tracking of ongoing dates, deadlines, and child licensing requirements. Family engagement is done through collaborative teamwork with co-workers to create and implement targeted and effective events that increase positive parent-child interactions. Lastly, I engage in collaborative goal setting with families that take a strength-based approach to identify needs and support ongoing family goals so that the health and wellness of the whole family is achieved.

As an ABA therapist, I provided direct services to children using applied behavior analysis to ensure the development of social, emotional, and applied life skills. This is done through analysis of behavior to identify antecedent and function of target behavior, thus allowing me to apply behavioral interventions based on clinical behavior plans. With this, I collaborated with team members and BCBA's to accurately understand, implement, or improve behavior plans for clients.

As the Lead Peer Assistant Leader, I manage a team of Peer Assistant Leaders whose responsibilities include overseeing first-year students at the University of New Hampshire at Manchester in a first-year seminar course. Within this course, Peer Assistant Leaders teach and facilitate discussions on a number of topics such as time management, stress management, study skills, emotional intelligence, mental health awareness, cultural competency, self-care, gratitude, and meditation. As the leader, I provide lesson plans and example lessons on the various topics through a number of trainings in the summer in addition to ongoing training throughout the semester. I also implement cultural competency training throughout the semester to encourage equity, social justice, and fair treatment of students on campus. Lastly, as the Lead Peer Assistant Leader, it's my job to ensure the execution and growth of leadership skills among Peer Assistant Leader to ensure they are adequately meeting the needs of first-year students academically, emotionally and socially. This is done through utilizing strong collaborative leadership skills, maintaining connection through interpersonal skills, and building community among my team members.
